About The Band
Josh Miller is a multifaceted pianist, composer, producer, and music professional from Baltimore, Maryland known for his work across multiple musical projects that cover a repertoire spanning jazz, funk, electronic, rock, fusion, hip-hop, acoustic, and more. A versatile performer and collaborator, Josh performs all along the East Coast and has shared stages with nationally touring acts including The Wailers, The Ron Holloway Band, Couch, The Bridge, Aqueous, and Kelly Bell Band as a bandmate and bandleader. He is a founding member of the newly debuted electronic-rock fusion group, The Economy. Josh holds dual degrees in Jazz Studies & Piano Performance and Music Technology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he studied under Grammy-winning and nationally recognized mentors in jazz and audio engineering.
Josh’s music draws on a diverse mix of influences, including jazz, experimental music, hip-hop, and indie rock. He takes an open-minded approach to blending these genres. As a composer and performer, he thrives on collaboration and approaches each new project with curiosity and flexibility. He’s as comfortable improvising over a jazz groove as he is laying down a hip-hop beat or jamming with an indie rock band, easily adapting to different musical settings. This versatility and open-minded spirit have become hallmarks of his career, resulting in music that feels both adventurous and grounded.
